About Us

The Good Stuff Connection thrift store is operated by North Shore Crisis Services Society, a registered charity based in North Vancouver that is dedicated to promoting a secure and abuse-free environment for women and children.

North Shore Crisis Services Society provides safe and secure housing for women and children fleeing violence, as well as referrals, support, advocacy and outreach programs, housing support and children's counselling.

The Good Stuff Connection Clothing Program

Our Clothing Program works with fourteen partner social service organisations to provide good quality donated clothing, shoes and personal items to men, women and children in need on the North Shore. Donated items are distributed to those in need through our Clothing Program or sold in our store to help fund our other programs.

Women and children come to SAGE House from countless circumstances. Some have had time to plan and pack their favorite and essential items before leaving an abusive relationship or person; others leave without notice, without their stuff when they have the opportunity to leave. As a result, many come to SAGE House in need of items they have left behind. Access to Good Stuff Connection provides new clothes and shoes and linens and small household items to start again. It means not having to worry financially about buying items for themselves or their children. It is a small step for a fresh start.
